I was asked to create a postcard for a giveaway collaboration between social media activist group Intersectional Environmentalist and well-known plant-based food manufacturer Impossible Foods. The illustration that I created was meant to celebrate ethical food habits, and I got a lot of artistic freedom to make it zany and fun. On November 12th, IE posted my illustration to their Instagram along with directions for the giveaway--the giveaway was closed within a few hours, proving the popularity of the post. Each of the 50 winners will receive a coupon for a free Impossible Foods product as well as a printed postcard of my art.

Below are some sketches sent to the client for approval. The initial concept was a "Farmers' Market Whodunnit" designed to be a postcard mini-game, but the format changed and the idea evolved. Initially, there were also farm animals present in the illustration, but the team at Impossible Foods suggested they be removed so no one would think the fruit-people were shopping for the animals. I incorporated brand colors from both Intersectional Environmentalist and Impossible Foods for the color palette and focused on detail, texture, and whimsy to deliver the final product.
